Large turnouts at rallies in support of Jeremy Corbyn prove he can lead the Labour party to a popular election victory, he stated this morning.

However former leader Lord Kinnock is unconvinced, asserting it unlikely he will see any other Labour government in his lifetime.

In an interview for BBC Radio four's these days programme, Mr Corbyn - who acquired an awesome vote of no confidence from Labour MPs - indicated he desired to build bridges together with his critics.

"Of course i am going to reach out to them as i have reached out to them inside the past. i have made it my commercial enterprise to talk to quite a number of Labour MPs and could maintain to achieve this," he said.

"I am hoping they'll recognize we have been elected as Labour MPs, it's miles a big honour and obligation, and we've got to try and supply for the humans.

"It would not imply that everybody agrees on the whole lot all of the time - that I recognize. however the fashionable course of competition to austerity, opposing the Tories on grammar schools - the ones are the sorts of matters that surely unite the party in recent times."
